Plant My Heart

He is like a tree planted by steams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
- Psalm 1:3

Prayer

Father, You are the source of all life. You are holy, just, and righteous. You turn our hearts into living streams of water to share the name of Jesus. Father, remove from me my petty and jealous heart and help me to plant my heart in Your Word. Give me patience in this season that seems dry and fruitless and a hope for a fruitful season to come. Sustain me with your living water, Jesus! Father, I thank You for Your Church, your people gathered to stand to worship and praise your name, standing righteous by the blood of Jesus.

Training

Blessing, fruit, life, and righteousness come to those who do not remain in sin, but who come to Jesus and God’s Word, delight in them, and bear fruit. Praise God that He has given us a way to stand rightly before Him in His holy and glorious presence through Jesus! Our dedication to delighting in the Word of God is how God plants our hearts in His Word. When we delight in God’s Word we can’t help but share it! When God plants our hearts in His Word our hearts develop roots that grow deep and strong like a tree and transform our hearts to praise God. When we praise God our lives are reflecting God’s glory for others to see as we bear fruit through the proclamation of the gospel and praise of our Savior!

Warriors, the battle is real. Let’s plant our hearts in God’s Word. God is faithful. We must be faithful and God will provide the fruit.
