Infinite Glory
O LORD, our LORD, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
- Psalm 8:1
Prayer
Father, you are sovereign over all. You are indescribably magnificent. Your glory is beyond comparison to the most brilliant sunrise and beautiful sunset that man has ever seen or captured. Your glory is greater than the wonders of the galaxies, the stars, and the moon that you placed with your fingers. You are majestic and worthy of all praise, yet you are mindful of us and care for us. Your glory is over all, yet you made us a little lower than you and crowned us with glory. You are in control, yet you give us dominion over the work of your hands. Father God, your name is majestic. Your glory is infinite; I worship and lift up your name.
Training
Our God is greater. His glory cannot be contained or measured. He is from everlasting to everlasting. There is no beginning and no end for our God. He reveals His glory through His creation. We experience God’s glory the most in His presence, because where God is there also is His glory.
God created us to experience His creation, to experience His presence, and to praise His glory. At the same time, God created us to have dominion over the works of His hand.
Warriors, pause to be mindful of the wonder of God’s creation. Consider how grand God must be to have created such beauty. Do what you can to care for the work of His hands. Spend time in God’s presence in prayer, in praise, in His Word, and gather with the church. Lift His name high!
