Faithful Then, Faithful Now

In you our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them.
- Psalm 22:4

Prayer

Father, Father, why won’t you answer me? Why have you left me to suffer? I am distraught, in pain, and unable to rest. Despite all of this, you are holy. You have always been faithful and praised. I am derided by others for my faith in you. You are the one who gave me life and you have been my faithful God since the day I was born. I need your help. I am surrounded by powerful enemies. I am falling apart and I have no strength left. Evil men are set on destroying me. You are my help. You can deliver me. You can save me. You have saved me before. I will praise you. I will lift up your name with others because you have not despised me, because you hear my prayer, and because you satisfy. Satisfy me, Lord. I will praise you because you will always be faithful. All the earth and every family of every nation shall bow before you and worship you. You are sovereign king over all. We shall proclaim that you have done it. You were faithful then, Father, you will be faithful now.
