Drawn Up

I will extol you, O LORD, for you have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me.
- Psalm 30:1

Prayer

Father, you are my deliverer and delight, you have drawn me up. You are the author of the universe. You reign supreme as sovereign king. You walk in pure goodness and glory. Yet, you have drawn me up from death to life. You have drawn me up into your presence and into your family. You have drawn me up from my foolish independence. You have drawn me up from my awful wickedness. You have drawn me up from mourning and given me the joy of your presence. Father, forevermore I will give thanks to you and sing your praises.

Training

When we compare ourselves to God we are lowly beings.

We are wicked, foolish, and weak. He is good, wise, and powerful.

He is higher in position even over any who might oppose us. He chooses in His grace to draw us up and deliver us. We are dependent on Him.

Will you depend on God and delight in His deliverance in your life?
