Abide

O LORD, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill?
- Psalm 15:1

Prayer

Father, you are set apart in holiness. You are worthy of all worship. I worship you for the wonderful work you have done through Jesus to welcome me into your presence. Thank you for sending Jesus to make a way for me to enter into your presence, to be declared righteous, and to worship you with my whole heart. Father, draw me close to you so that I may abide in your presence forever. Jesus, I choose to abide in you. Teach me to walk as you walk, to do as you do, to speak as you speak, to love as you love, to serve as you serve, to build up as you build up, to give as you give, and to show honor as you show honor.

Training

Without Jesus - we are not worthy to enter God’s presence to worship Him. We cannot walk blamelessly. No man is complete, perfectly well-rounded, and living a wholly balanced life. Even more, no man is righteous. No one does good. We are all wicked.

With Jesus - we are welcomed in and declared worthy by the blood of Christ. Jesus died in our place to declare God’s heart that you are worth dying for, that you are worth redeeming, that you are valuable to God. As we abide with Jesus, He transforms us to walk in a manner worthy of His name and calling.

Warriors, abide in Jesus.

I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
- John 15:5
